When was the last time you replaced your toothbrush? If it’s been longer than three months, then friend, it’s time. Over time, the bristles of your toothbrush are less effective, not to mention germs can settle in and multiply- yuck! The number of electric toothbrushes on the market today continues to grow. On today’s blog we researched three of the top electric toothbrushes recommended by dentists.

Oral-B Pro 1000 Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush
Cost: $69 on Amazon

Perhaps the best feature about Oral-B’s rechargeable toothbrush is that it has a built in timer that chimes every 30 seconds indicating when it’s time to move on to a new part of your mouth. A toothbrush that gives a deep clean and helps develop good brushing habits and techniques, now that’s a toothbrush we can get behind. An additional plus, $69 is relatively inexpensive compared to other electronically powered toothbrushes on the market.

Phillips Sonicare Flexcare Plus Sonic Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush
Cost: $130 on Amazon

While this one is a little pricey, it is well worth the money. This toothbrush operates super-sonic speed, operating up to 31,000 cycles per second. Without even touching the teeth, the force alone is able to remove plaque!

Quip
Cost: $25-$40 + Replacement head subscription

We had to mention the Quip toothbrush that is taking the internet by storm! The Quip has a super sleek design and comes in fun metallic colors. When it’s time to replace the detachable head, Quip will send you a new one in the mail. Another plus is that unlike other electric toothbrushes, it comes with a travel sleeve!

At the end of the day, a toothbrush allows you to reach all teeth, has a comfortable grip and you’ll use consistently is the one most recommended by dentists. If there’s a toothbrush we may not have listed that you’re looking to invest in or simply want more information on, feel free to get in touch with your dentist.
