DIY Gifts for Your Favorite Foodie

It seems like nowadays, everyone considers themselves a “foodie”.

So why not indulge your friends and family with holiday gifts that would look great on Instagram and in real life? Our first idea is for those on a time constraint who don’t consider themselves too creative. The other is for the DIY-lover who loves a challenge.

Party Punch Package

This gift is so easy and though the example shows lemonade mix, it would also work with apple cider mix or another holiday favorite! All you’ll need is a pitcher, wooden spoon, your ingredients, a recipe card/label and garnish. To make the lemonade mix, pop 5-7 lemons in the pitcher, with 1/2 cup sugar tied in a bag. Then add the recipe card, tie on the spoon and garnish, and you’re done!

Etched Cutting Board

Like we warned, this project might take a little practice and skill, but the results are beautiful and will surprise any recipient when you tell them you made it yourself! You will need to purchase an etching tool (like this one: http://a.co/7wsnh83), but once you do, you’ll be set for this and many more DIY projects. Then you pick up a few cutting boards, any shape or size you like. The lighter the wood, the easier to see your etching. For the pattern, you can freestyle it or transfer a word, holiday phrase or name with transfer paper. With a little practice, you’ll be a pro!
